We toured the museum at the interpretive centre, where the Tiger Lily discovered a model of the magma tube of Mt. St. Helens. Then we drove up several miles of winding road, past broken, burnt stumps, giant fallen trees, and the clearly visible blast zone from the volcano's sideward eruption.
